Job Description

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our client base within the retail industry. You will work closely with the design team to identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with potential clients, and effectively communicate our design capabilities and value proposition.

Job Profile

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company’s objectives and target market
  • Identify and pursue potential business opportunities within the retail sector, including new client acquisitions and partnerships
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor analysis, and emerging retail design opportunities
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with retail clients, understanding their specific needs and objectives
  • Actively engage with clients to understand their design requirements and effectively communicate the studio’s capabilities and design solutions
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the studio’s portfolio, expertise, and value proposition
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop customized design solutions that meet the clients’ expectations and align with their brand image
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to expand professional networks and establish the studio’s presence within the retail design community
  • Foster strategic partnerships and collaborations with industry stakeholders, including architects, developers, contractors, and suppliers
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue objectives, monitoring sales performance against set KPIs
  • Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates to the senior management team on business development activities, progress, and opportunities

Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field
  • Proven experience in business development, client management, or sales within the context of interior design or architecture, preferably in the retail industry
  • Strong understanding of retail design trends, industry standards, and customer preferences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills
